Have mercy! Just as Netflix’s Fuller House reboot is taking shape, Lifetime has revealed the cast of its Full House: The Unauthorized Story TV movie. Set to air on Aug. 22, the film will include the iconic roles originated by Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
According to a network press release issued Thursday, June 4, the unauthorized flick will follow in the vein of Saved by the Bell’s unauthorized Lifetime film that aired in 2014. “From its start as an unassuming family comedy in 1987 to its eventual wildly popular 192-episode run, the film centers on the rise of the cast of one of America’s most beloved family sitcoms and the pressures they faced in balancing their television personas with their real lives,” the network said of the project.
Miley Cyrus‘ one-time boyfriend Justin Gaston will appear as Stamos’ Uncle Jesse Katsopolis, with Big Eyes‘ Stephanie Bennett as his girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson. Rounding out the cast are Garrett Brawith (Danny Tanner), Justin Mader (Joey Gladstone), Dakota Guppy and Jordyn Olson (young and older versions of Stephanie Tanner), Shelby Armstrong and Brittney Wilson (young and older versions of D.J. Tanner), Blaise and Kinslea Todd (toddler versions of Michelle Tanner), Calla and Tyla Jones (Michelle at age 6, Kylie and Jordan Armstrong (Michelle at age 9), and Aislyn Watson and Jaime Schneider (younger and older versions of Kimmy Gibbler) will also star.

When news of the Lifetime project surfaced in April, original cast member Stamos, 51, took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the new take on the beloved family comedy. “Full House TV movie on @lifetimetv ??” Stamos tweeted, linking to a Hollywood Reporter story about Lifetime’s plans. “Hmmmm – yeah right, good luck with that.”
