Hey, girl — we’re going to need a minute to digest this change!
Ryan Gosling, with his heart-piercing blue eyes, has undergone a major transformation — dyeing his signature blonde locks dark brown. The longtime love of Eva Mendes unveiled his dramatically different new hue on the set of his new film, The Big Short, on Wednesday, April 15, in New Orleans.
In order to look the part to portray Greg Lippman, a sharp-shooting financial trader in the film, Gosling, 34, transformed his sleek tresses into a curly new hairstyle and appears to have spent some time getting a tan.
Actors Christian Bale and Brad Pitt also costar in the film adaptation of the Michael Lewis nonfiction thriller, which is being directed by Adam McKay.

Gosling and Mendes welcomed daughter Esmeralda in September 2014, and along with being dedicated parents, they’ve also teamed up on yet another project — his latest film, Lost River, where the actress worked as an intern.
“She was around when I was writing it and she was very helpful in my aspects of the process,” Gosling said at the Angelika Film Center, via the Daily Express. “She interned with the costume department, and with the production design team and she was also acting in it, so she wore a lot of hats on the film.”
